I just remembered something the driver ed teacher said in passing during class which gave me a whole new perspective about what it means to get in a car and drive. He said that we are in a piece of metal that weighs about 3,000 lbs and hurtling along at about 60mph. It’s a deadly weapon if we are not mindful with it’s use. We often take it for granted that driving a vehicle is no big deal, it is. Here’s another thought, when the doc gives you meds that say do not operate heavy machinery, cars fall into that category.
